Cocopeat is a multipurpose growing medium made out of coconut husks. The fibrous coconut husk is pre-washed, machine-dried, sieved, and made free from sand and other contaminants such as animal and plant residue.

Cocopeat used in vermiculture as moisture-retaining, and perlite particle porosity is conducive to microbe propagation in an aerobic environment as worm food. Eradicate water logging and drowning of worms with its good drainage features. Also ideal as worm bedding and as a worm feed instead of paper that will be compacted under moist conditions.

Cocopeat is an excellent substitute for peat moss and rock wool. Its excellent water holding capacity and air-filled porosity make it a suitable growth medium for plant crops.

What are its Applications?
Coco Peat is used in various fields such as:

  • Potting mix suppliers

  • Green houses

  • Hydroponics Growers

  • Nursery & Garden center professionals

  • Vegetable Gardens

  • Rose Cultivation

Advantage of cocopeat

  • Coco peat increases the porosity of the potting mix. This helps to keep the soil loose and airy helping in better root growth. Better root growth results in better plant growth and higher yield.

  • Coco peat increases the water-holding capacity of the potting mix even as it increases the porosity of the soil. This ensures that the plant does not suffer from overwatering or underwatering.
